The Ascension Program

At PEACE, we believe that reading is the foundation of all learning and a gateway to limitless opportunities. The Ascension Program is our commitment to nurturing young minds by focusing on literacy development for children in grades K-4.
The program is designed to foster a love for reading while equipping children with the skills they need to excel academically and beyond. By creating a supportive and engaging environment, Ascension helps students build confidence in their reading abilities, expand their vocabulary, and develop critical thinking skills.
Our Intent:
Ascension seeks to close the literacy gap for children in our community, ensuring every child has access to quality resources and guidance to grow as a reader.
Our Scope:
This program provides:
• Age-appropriate and diverse reading materials.
• Targeted literacy activities tailored to individual reading levels.
• Support from dedicated educators and volunteers.
• A focus on fostering a love of learning and exploration through books.
